TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The longtime financial manager of a local consulting firm is accused of embezzling more than $200,000 from the company.

Tallahassee police arrested 46-year-old Tamara Gray on Monday. She spent 15 years as the financial and IT manager for Nobles Consulting Group and was responsible for payroll and paying bills.

Investigators say Gray used the company’s credit cards to pay personal bills. Those included home security, internet purchases on Amazon, cable, electric and phone bills, insurance and online gaming.

The president of Nobles Consulting contacted police about Gray in November 2017, reporting the suspected embezzlement. She was fired after the alleged theft was discovered.

Police say Gray admitted wronging the company in an email exchange with the president, and said she was dealing with health issues.

Gray was booked in the Leon County Detention Facility on charges of grand theft.

We’ve reached out to Nobles Consulting Group for comment but have not heard back.
